Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale. Click here to see what is acceptable and not acceptable for the sale.

Supplies Needed

HANGERS – in order to protect your clothing items we only accept plastic hangers. Find plastic hangers at Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar Stores. Retail plastic hangers are acceptable too.

STRING TAGS – Avery White Marking Tags Strung (size 1.75 x 1.093 inches) are required on each item to affix our barcode labels to. You can find these at Wal-Mart, office supply stores, the Rhea Lana Store or large quantities may be purchased from Amazon.

You’ll also need re-sealable bags (for shoes, small toys, etc…), masking tape, scotch tape, sharpie, and safety pins. For large quantities of quality safety pins we recommend ordering from Cleaners Supply .

If you would like to print your barcodes at home you’ll need adhesive address labels size 1” X 2 5/8” (30 up). We recommend ordering from Amazon Here. Please note: all labels printed at home MUST be printed in color.

Clothing

The better they look the faster they will sell!
Please take time to freshly launder and iron if needed. Check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, missing buttons, etc. We will be checking at the store and will not accept any item that is not in excellent condition or out of season.
Boys, Girls, Juniors, Maternity and Nursing.

  • All hangers should look like a question mark facing you.

  • Use a safety pin with a string tag through the garment's left shoulder.

  • Any bundles or sets should be pinned securely together, with pants hung on the back of the shirt at the top of the hanger or shirt/pant set are on separate hangers, rubber band the hangers together. Both pieces need to be viewable without unpinning them

  • All pants must be pinned to the top of the hanger, not folded over.
  • Shoes

    Shoes must be in very clean LIKE-NEW condition. Free from dirt, torn uppers, soiled or discolored soles.

  • Write your consignor number and price on masking tape, placing inside one of the shoes.

  • Loop the price tag through the shoe eyelet or zip tie.

  • Zip tie shoes together or if you can't zip tie, then place both shoes (with attached price tag)inside a ziploc bag.

    Bedding

  • It is best to package a bedding set together in its original clear plastic bag with zipper. Large ziplock bags can also be purchased to keep bedding clean and together.

  • Package sheets in Ziplock type bags, seal with tape and tag on the outside of the bag. Label your consignor number and price on the bag with a Sharpie in the case that the string tag comes off during the sale.

  • Blankets

  • Throw blankets, swaddles and sleep sacks should be on hangers so that shoppers can see them.

  • Receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together in a Ziploc bag and seal with clear plastic tape. Tape the tag to the outside of the Ziplock bag. Label your consignor number and price on the Ziplock bag with a Sharpie in the case that the string tag comes off during the sale.
  • Loose Items

  • Bottles, bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc group together appropriately in Ziploc bags. Seal with clear packing tape.
    Tape tag to the outside of the bag. Label your consignor number and price on the Ziplock bag with a Sharpie in the case that the string tag comes off during the sale.

  • Hats, Belts, other accessories-loop a string tag or attach with a safety pin. Label with your consignor number and price

  • Purses, backpacks, lunchboxes-loop a string tag or attach with a safety pin. Label with your consignor number and price

    Toys, Equipment

    Must be clean and in working order (batteries included and have all pieces. Small parts to a large item must be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated the item will not sell. Label all with consignor ID and price

  • Games taped shut
  • Books bundled in ziplock bag, taped shut or wrapped with saran wrap Single books, tape string tag to outside of front cover.
  • Puzzles packaged with saran wrap or ziplock bags

  • DVD's will be taped shut at check in to verify condition

  • Small toys should be grouped accordingly in ziploc bags.

  • XL play yards kept in box with a colored photo taped outside of the box.
  • Car Seats

    Must be clean, free from recalls, stains, and odors.Label all with consignor ID and price

  • Loop a string tag around the chest clip or safety pin the tag through the seat so it will be clearly visible.

  • If the carseat includes a base, label both carseat and base using masking tape, your consignor ID, price and how many items are to be included(ex. 1 of 2)
  • Furniture Nook and Decor

  • When tagging furniture and large decor items, Attach a piece of masking tape to the item with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off!
